Kate has always been artistic, having painted or drawn on and off over the years. It was only when she retired that the lure of art drew her back to the easel to take it up more seriously with oils, and more recently, with acrylics.

After experimenting with different ideas, she began to develop her own style in the form of semi abstract pictures. These were created from places she knows and loves such as Tenby, Gower and her home town of Bath, painting townscapes and harbours. She jokes that most of her images tend to end up with a boat in them somewhere! She also sometimes works in monoprinting.

She lives on the outskirts of Bath with her husband David who is also an artist.
